Former Quinteto Chá Singer guitarrist Luis Angulo has now embarked his new Cuban SON band "Son De Lui".Drawing influences from founders of the cuban Son like Faustino Oramas,Compay Segundo,Eliades Ochoa,Grupo Changüí,Septeto Nacional,Arsenio Rodriguez,Carlos Puebla and Cachao the band Son de Luí gives their own interpretations of the cuban son a special touch.

The new band not only performs as a traditional Quartet but also works in a septeto formation backed by trumpet,trombone and timbales.

The former member also opened up in the past for established acts like the vocal only salsa orchestra "Vocal Sampling" and shared the stage in 2004 to sing the song "El Carretero" with Buena Vista Social Club´s legendary Guitarrist Eliades Ochoa at the zeltfestival in konstanz germany.

In April 2009 the Film "Sons of Cuba" directed by Andrew Lang opened up at the Full frame Documentary Film festival in North Carolina U.S.which featured the remake of the classic cuban song" Lamento Cubano"from the CD entre dos mundos sang and arranged by Luis Angulo.
